This page is here really as an apology for all the years in my youth of falsely claiming to be a thoroughbred Lancastrian and Northerner.  There are many "Reeves" genealogy websites that are easy to find, and we don't intend to compete.  Of course, the research is probably flawed...

So...

William Reeves was born in Chippenham, Wilts c1844

Herbert Willie Reeves was born in Camden Town, 24 May 1875. Father, William Reeves, was a tailor and his mother was Edith Rebecca Riley.

In 1881 they were in Shifnal in Shropshire which is near where Edith came from.  Edith was born in West Bromwich c1845.  They had another child - Alice, b1873.

Well.  Startling stuff.  There I was thinking I was Lancastrian as far as we could trace, and it turns out I'm partly... maybe mainly... maybe entirely... a southerner.  Hush my mouth.
